Prince William and Kate Middleton celebrated their 12th wedding anniversary on Saturday by sharing a delightful photo of the couple riding bikes together in Norfolk, England. The Prince and Princess of Wales posted the image, taken by Matt Porteous, on their shared Instagram account with the caption, "12 years ."

The 41-year-old Duchess of Cambridge dressed casually for the occasion, wearing blue jeans, a white top, and sneakers. Her husband, 40, also opted for a laid-back ensemble, sporting blue jeans and a dark blue button-up shirt.

Royal fans were quick to express their admiration for the couple, leaving heartfelt comments on the post. One fan wrote, "What a wonderful photo  Wishing you a very happy wedding anniversary! Here's to many more years ." Another added, "Happy anniversary to the next King and Queen of The UK  we love you and support you ."

"The most wonderful couple! I remember the wedding like it was yesterday! Wishing you many more years of happiness and health ♥️," shared a third admirer, while a fourth commented, "Happy 12th Wedding Anniversary to these two, Such a beautiful photo…Such a lovely surprise. Looking forward to the decades to come!"

The couple, who dated for eight years before their marriage, first met while studying at the University of St. Andrews in Scotland. In 2004, speculation of a budding romance grew after they were photographed together for the first time during a ski trip at a Swiss resort in Klosters.

Following a brief separation in 2007, the pair reunited, and in 2010, they announced their engagement. William presented Kate with his late mother Princess Diana's iconic sapphire engagement ring, initially given to her by King Charles III.

On their wedding day at Westminster Abbey, the bride wore a long-sleeved gown designed by Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen, and a Cartier Halo tiara lent to her by Queen Elizabeth II, who passed away in September 2022.

Since their wedding, William and Kate have welcomed three children: Prince George, 9, Princess Charlotte, 7, and Prince Louis, 5.
