Riverdale co-stars and former couple Cole Sprouse have had an eventful past couple of weeks.

After announcing that they have split after dating for a couple of years, the two revealed some things about themselves too. New York Daily News reported that Cole detailed his experience after being arrested due to protesting. It was Monday this week when the actor was arrested while with a group of peaceful protesters in Santa Monica.

In an Instagram post, the actor detailed how he was with a few protestors when some police officers told them that they needed to leave or they would be arrested. Then he says that many did turn around to leave but then they were blocked by another set of officers who then arrested them and even zip-tied them. He went on to say that he acknowledges that his experience is very different from others, being a straight white man and also a public personality.

He was also adamant that posting about his experience was not done to make it about him. He wanted the focus to be on the Black Lives Matter movement and he hopes that the media would not sensationalize the situation. He claimed that he will also no longer be talking about the subject of the movement as there are more who are better experts on the subject.

Meanwhile, his ex-girlfriend, Lilli Reinhart, lent support to the movement while also dropping a bombshell to her followers. Insider reports that Reinhart just came out as a bisexual woman on her Instagram stories. She shared a poster for an LGBTQ+ for BlackLivesMatter protest that happened in West Hollywood. Along with the poster, she also claimed that though she has never announced it before, she said that she was a proud bisexual woman. The announcement came after Lilli and Cole broke up. There was never any reason given on why the two called it quits for good although there were speculations that being away from each other may have contributed to the breakup. The couple decided not to quarantine together and it looks like the distance did not do them any good.

Aside from dating in real life, the couple also plays on-screen lovers Betty Cooper and Jughead Jones in their hit series Riverdale

The series had to conclude their latest season early because the production was shut down due to the coronavirus pandemic. The fifth season will start with what was supposed to be the season finale for season 4.
