Prince Harry has reportedly engaged in "peace talks" with his father, King Charles III, ahead of the confirmation of his attendance at next month's coronation.

King Charles and Queen Camilla are scheduled to be officially crowned on May 6. The Duke of Sussex's relationship with his father has been strained in recent years, particularly after relocating to California with his wife, Meghan, Duchess of Sussex.

The release of Harry's candid memoir, Spare, in January fueled further speculation about the state of their father-son relationship and whether Harry and Meghan would be present at the coronation.

Buckingham Palace announced on April 12 that Harry will attend the event, while Meghan will stay in California with their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.

A friend of the Sussexes told The Telegraph that Harry contacted Charles to discuss his attendance at the coronation and that "positive conversations" took place between the two.

The report did not indicate any communication between Harry and his older brother, William, Prince of Wales, during this reconciliation process. In Spare, Harry claimed that William assaulted him in his home before his wedding, shedding light on the tension between the brothers. The last public appearance of William and Harry together was at Queen Elizabeth II's funeral in September.

Meanwhile, close friends of King Charles and Queen Camilla have shared insights into the couple's long journey to the throne. One source described Camilla as the yin "to Charles's yang," while another recounted the challenges faced in integrating Camilla into the royal inner circle.
