American stand-up comic W. Kamau Bell had urged popular host, Conan O'Brien and TBS to do a complete internal audit in their respective companies. Conan O'Brien has a reputation for being articulate about sensitive matters and the recent conversation with Bell following the murder of George Floyd showed the hosts have adopted a different approach.

On June 4, the CONAN host had a deep and long conversation with United Shades of America star and discussed how "white people" are trying to connect their life with the ongoing movement but feels frozen.

Bell said that many white people right feels frozen because they don't know what to do in such a situation and eventually, they do NOTHING. He mentioned this lack of knowledge is the reason why black people are getting brutalized by white officials again and again.

While Bell admitted that white people feel bad about the racial injustice that the black community faces, but said they head straight to their yoga classes just a few weeks later as if nothing happened. O'Brien said that the current protest is "very visual" and many celebrities are also coming forward by using their social media platform.

However, The Tonight Show host opened up about his concern that in just a week or a year, these visual actions will fade out. On this, Bell had a fantastic response as he suggested that the host should connect his life with this movement by letting Black people know that he will perform an internal audit of his show and ask the channel (TBS) to do the same.

Bell asked the O'Brien to check where the black people work in his show and TBS and not to come up with a percentage but instead what level they are working. He asked to include a list of people who are black and working at the top level and lowest level while sharing with O'Brien that this is the time when white people need to "show their work".

W. Kamau Bell said that it is easy to just change display pictures on Twitter to black color or tweet about "Black Lives Matter" but eventually, those people will change those AVI to "wacky picture". It is imperative for white people to not just do the work, but also to show the work because there is no guarantee that the work will get done, Bell explained.

While people often focus on outside efforts, the need to focus is on the inside for white people to understand black people’s problems he further told.
