Miley Cyrus allegedly started doubting herself following her divorce from Liam Hemsworth and the fallout of her parent’s marriage, but her loyal fans proved that they’ve got her back.

According to Life & Style, Cyrus did not expect that her new breakup anthem “Flowers” will make it big on the charts.

“Miley’s kind of shocked that she’s now made such a big comeback. She had purposely dropped out of sight for a while. She needed a break from everything. The fact that old fans and new have embraced her is amazing,” the source said.

To make things so much better, Cyrus has a close affinity to her new track.

“She’s surprised how well it’s doing because she was so attached to it personally and that rarely translates to popularity,” the source said.

“Flowers” is allegedly about Cyrus’ ex-husband Hemsworth. However, she did not inform the actor beforehand that she was going to dedicate a breakup single to him.

“Miley didn’t give Liam a heads up – mostly because she didn’t think the song was going to be such a huge hit. But also, it really wasn’t something she felt she needed to run by him. The song speaks for itself. Basically, Miley and her feelings are the priority,” the source said.

Other than Hemsworth, “Flowers” also has a deeper meaning to it.

“‘Flowers’ is about empowerment, and Miley herself feels empowered again. She’s back in control of her own destiny after a rough few years,” the source said.

While it is true that Cyrus’ song became a huge success, there’s no indication that she wrote the track for her ex-husband. It’s been several years since the exes split and Cyrus has been in several other relationships thereafter so it’s highly likely that she already moved on from Hemsworth.

It’s not also true that Cyrus was shocked by the success of her single because she has been releasing songs that have been equally successful in previous years.

It is therefore safe to conclude that the tabloid is just making up stories about Cyrus and are trying to make things a big deal even when they are not.

For now, Cyrus is enjoying her return to the limelight. And fans can expect the singer to release more songs in the coming months.
