Marvel Cinematic Universe actor Mark Ruffalo is urging fans to “send healing” to his co-star, Jeremy Renner. It comes after he had an accident while plowing snow over the weekend.

On Monday, the 55-year-old celebrity took his well-wishes to Instagram and posted a story using his official account. He included a news report of his 51-year-old co-star’s accident and wrote a few notes asking fans and followers to pray for the actor in the post.

Ruffalo wrote, “Prayers up for our brother @jeremyrenner on a full and speedy recovery.” He also urged fans to “please send healing goodness his way” in the same post.

A rep for Jeremy Renner confirmed in a statement to the People, covering the “Now You See Me” actor’s social media update, that the celebrity “has undergone surgery” on January 2 after sustaining “blunt chest trauma and orthopedic injuries.”

It is noted, however, that the MCU star has returned from surgery and remains in the intensive care unit in critical but stable condition.”

The same statement to the magazine, published Tuesday, said that Renner’s family “would like to express their gratitude to the incredible doctors and nurses looking after him.”

Aside from the medical professionals, the piece also mentioned the “Truckee Meadows Fire and Rescue, Washoe County Sheriff, Reno City Mayor Hillary Schieve and the Carano and the Murdock families.”

The “Hawkeye” actor’s family is also said to be “tremendously overwhelmed and appreciative of the outpouring of love and support from his fans.”

CNN recently recalled in a report that it obtained a confirmation from Sam Mast, a rep for Jeremy Renner, earlier on Monday that the actor was hospitalized on New Year’s Day after a “weather related accident” involving a snow-plowing activity.

Citing a news release from the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office, the outlet shared in the same piece, published Tuesday, that the office’s deputies responded to a “traumatic injury” involving the MCU actor. They are said to have found him injured in the area of Mount Rose Highway in Reno, adding that they coordinated his transport to an area hospital.

The Washoe County Sheriff’s Office did not provide details about the accident or how it happened, as per the publication. But, even so, it noted that, per the office, its Major Accident Investigation Team is looking into the matter.

Meanwhile, Jeremy Renner, who resides near Mt. Rose-Ski Tahoe outside Reno, received well-wishes, as well, from other personalities.

Entertainment Tonight reported Monday that these include James Gunn and Josh Gad, who both shared their thoughts about the matter on Twitter.
