Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck are very affectionate with each other when they’re in public. But there are claims that their children, particularly Lopez’s son Max, isn’t a fan of their PDAs.

In its Jan. 2 issue, National Enquirer claimed that Max doesn’t understand his mom’s need to engage in PDAs with his stepdad when they have plenty of alone time at home.

“J.Lo and Ben were saying their goodbyes before heading off to run some errands separately, and she wouldn’t let him leave without giving her a passionate kiss. You could see the awkwardness on Max’s face when they were making out. He just turned his back and fiddled with his cell phone until they were done,” the source said.

The source also claimed that Lopez and Affleck are pulling all the stops to blend their families since they both have children from their previous marriages. Lopez is a mom to twins Max and Emme, while Affleck has three kids with Jennifer Garner.

“J.Lo figures it’s healthy for them to see her and Ben displaying their affection for each other. This way the kids can see their love is the real deal,” the source said.

The source also claimed that J.Lo and Affleck’s PDAs do not seem to bother to Garner so the couple intends to do it for the rest of their lives.

“Jennifer isn’t bothered if Ben and J.Lo want to strut their stuff and kiss and cuddle in public places like teenagers,” the source said.

However, one should take the tabloid’s claims with a grain of salt. It’s not true that Lopez and Affleck just keep engaging in PDAs. The couple may be very affectionate toward each other but they also know their limits.

There’s also no indication that Max is uncomfortable at the sight of his parents making out. The teenager grew up with Lopez by his side and Affleck isn’t the first person that she was ever affectionate with.

The tabloid cannot also make assumptions about how Max felt while Lopez and Affleck were kissing just based on a photo that they did not even publish in the first place.

It’s therefore obvious that the tabloid is just making up stories about Lopez and Affleck, which they have been doing throughout the past two years since they got back together.
