Camilla Parker Bowles recently showed off her acting skills while reading James and the Giant Peach by Roald Dahl.

Prince Charles’ wife joined forces with New Zealand filmmaker Taika Waititi and a slew of other celebrities in reading some lines from the popular children’s book.

Before reading the line assigned to her, Camilla told Waititi and the other celebrities that she’s not much of an actress. But her attempts to entertain viewers was a success.

Camilla’s line also referenced Queen Elizabeth. She said that a message must be sent to the queen. And the country must also be warned.

After the entire book is read, Camilla issued a statement addressed to those who are affected by the coronavirus pandemic.

She said that she hopes that the campaign will raise vital funds to support those who are in need during this challenging time. She also hopes that children and families will find comfort in reading while they are quarantining at home.

Roald Dahl Story Company managing director, Luke Kelly gushed over Camilla’s involvement in their fundraiser. He said that Camilla’s participation is a very special moment in the campaign and it is also a privilege.

The Duchess of Cornwall also made headlines this week after her frosty relationship with her ex-husband, Andrew Parker Bowles was revisited.

In 1993, photographer Joan Wakeham took a photo of Camilla and Andrew on their 20th wedding anniversary. In the snap, Camilla and Andrew look quite distant.

According to Express, the photo suggests that there were already tensions between the former couple. And shortly after they celebrated their 20th wedding anniversary, the couple announced their divorce.

In 2005, Camilla and Prince Charles tied the knot in a civil ceremony. The couple has been happily married ever since.

Photos of Prince Charles and Camilla usually show them in a loved-up display. And even if they are not holding each other, they are both smiling from ear to ear.

The Duke and Duchess of Cornwall also released a photo on their 15th wedding anniversary this year. In the snap, Prince Charles and Camilla are sitting on opposite sides and holding their dogs. They are grinning from ear to ear.

Prince Charles and Camilla’s photos are a far cry from the throwback photo of the latter with Andrew.

Today, Prince Charles and Camilla continue to self-isolate in Birkhall due to the coronavirus pandemic.
