Meghan Markle gave the public a rare insight into her and Prince Harry’s life in the United States. She even revealed that she and her husband are “commuters,” noting that they live hours away from Los Angeles.

It comes after the Duchess of Sussex talked about what goes on in her and the royal-born Prince’s day in a life away from the spotlight. She discussed the matter with Variety for an interview published Wednesday.

When asked which among her and the Duke of Sussex takes the most snack breaks during an average workday, the former actress recalled how “people sometimes think we live in Los Angeles.” She clarified that they live outside of it, noting that they are “a good two hours” away from the city.

Meghan Markle continued to the magazine that she and Prince Harry are “commuters” before sharing their recent travel to L.A. “for a day of back-to-back meetings.” She also seemingly revealed how they managed to stay alert during the trip, saying they were “equipped with chocolate chip cookies the size of my toddler’s head.”

The Duchess of Sussex later stated that In-N-Out is her husband’s favorite, adding that there is a store along the way between “our neck of the woods” and Los Angeles. She went on to share that “they know our order,” and “it’s really fun to go through the drive-thru and surprise them.”

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry relocated to Montecito, California, months after their exit from their royal lives in the United Kingdom.

In August 2020, when news broke that they had secretly purchased a property in the upscale community, a source told Page Six that it was the “first home either of them has ever owned.”

It was also stated that they “never intended to make Los Angeles their home.”

As for the former working royals’ current work-life in the United States, Meghan Markle told Variety that she and Prince Harry share an office at home, as they work from there. She noted that this setup allows them to “have significant time” with their children.

The former “Suits” actress deemed this moment of her children’s lives “special,” pointing out that she and the royal-born Prince will “never get this time back.” She added that she makes breakfast, and they get their two kids “set for the day” before they go on to do their work.

The Duchess of Sussex continued to the publication that she and the Duke of Sussex “do a lot of joint calls and Zooms” during their workdays. But, to accomplish more work, she said they “also try to divide” the tasks.
