Meghan Markle and Prince Harry began their trip across Europe earlier this week. Following their arrival in the United Kingdom, a royal expert shared some thoughts about the visit, suggesting that the former actress is especially “excited” because it is “her time to shine.”

Express UK said the claims were from Kinsey Schofield, who runs the “To Di For Daily” platform. As noted, she believes that the “Suits” alum was looking forward to their return to the United Kingdom to be in the spotlight and highlight their causes.

The outlet quoted the royal expert, claiming, “I do think that this trip is something that perhaps [the Duchess of Sussex] was excited about. I think this is one of those cases where really Meghan is excited about going to the U.K. because this is her time to shine.”

Elsewhere in the exchange, which the Daily Star first published on Tuesday, Schofield made some assertions about Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s motive behind their flight back to the British Royals’ turf. She stated that Spotify and Netflix, with whom the pair closed deals, have “a lot of expectations.”

The expert consequently shared that she wonders “if the motivation ultimately is to create content and to continue to elevate themselves.” She pointed out that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex “have got content they have to create” because of their deals with the platforms.

In the end, Schofield went on to add that the former working royals are “visiting because they have to have that connection to the [British] Royal Family to continue to monetize their brand.”

The public learned about Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s return to Europe earlier in August. A spokesperson for the pair released an official announcement about the matter, confirming the trip.

In a statement to Insider, the rep said that the former working royals are “delighted to visit with several charities close to their hearts,” noting that the trip would be in September.

Part of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s agenda is their attendance at The One Young World Summit in Manchester. The event occurred on Monday, with the former actress giving a speech.

A two-day visit to Düsseldorf, Germany is also included on the pair’s itinerary, which would see them kick off the “One Year To Go” event of the Invictus Games.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will fly back to the United Kingdom on Thursday for the WellChild Awards.

The latest trip marks the former senior royals' first joint working visit to the Duke of Sussex's home country. It remains unclear, though, how long they would stay or whether they will meet with other members of the British Royal Family.
