Brad Pitt won his first-ever Oscar for performance this year and his six kids were extremely proud of him. The kids were, reportedly, ecstatic after the actor made his acceptance speech at the award ceremony this year. 

 

The Academy Awards for this year will be always a memorable one for the Troy actor. After all, he got the much-coveted statuette in the category of best supporting actor in the film Once Upon A Time in Hollywood. 

 

The actor gave a touching speech of gratitude where he thanked the film’s director, his co-star Leonardo DiCaprio, and the rest of the team. However, what made his speech even more remarkable was the way he recognized the contribution of his children, Play Crazy Game reports. 

 

Pitt got emotional while dedicating his award to his children who he said motivate him in everything he does. It was the first-ever Oscar for the Hollywood A-lister for his performance. The 56-year-old actor’s feat made all his children feel proud of him.

 

An insider mentioned that while Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s kids do not have much of an interest in awards but getting an Oscar is different. All the kids messaged their father and congratulated him. The children adored the fact that Pitt gave them a shout-out at the ceremony.

The same insider added that as the children grow older, they are even more appreciative of how incredibly talented both their parents were. The source further said the children realized how blessed and fortunate they are to have Brad Pitt as their father, Hollywood Life reports. 

 

However, they are still very young and he is still their father and not the Oscar award-winning actor. This response will definitely help Pitt to remain modest, the source continued. 

 

The source also responded when he was asked whether the family will be celebrating Pitt’s win or not. According to the insider, when the actor is in the company of his kids, he can think of nothing else and does not even worry about his career. So, although it is not “his style” they may all come together and have some kind of a party. 

 

The actor has not been snapped with his children in some time. Reports have surfaced insisting that there is some kind of tension between him and Maddox, his oldest son.

 

Meanwhile, Brad Pitt also won many other trophies for the same film this year including the Golden Globe Awards, the BAFTAs, and the SAGs this year. Pitt also thanked his parents, especially his mother Jane Pitt in his acceptance speech at the Oscars.
