Kevin Costner is allegedly not thrilled that his latest project on Paramount+ did not receive as many nominations as he was expecting.

A source told National Enquirer that Yellowstone was basically snubbed by the Emmys and Costner is fuming because he gave the project everything he’s got.

“Kevin has thrown his life and soul into this show, and he’s appalled his incredibly talented and hard-working team hasn’t been recognized. It’s not about him, although it stings from a personal point, too. It’s more about the overall principle and hypocrisy as he sees it,” the source said.

The source claimed that Costner is secretly hoping that the right-minded celebrities would abandon the Emmys and vote on their own.

“He’s putting the word out among his many friends in the biz, including those in the country community, who are all equally baffled and disgusted. It could well blow up in the woke brigade’s face and that would give the Yellowstone gang a great deal of satisfaction,” the source said.

The source said that even though Costner exerted so much effort in Yellowstone, the project did not capture the attention of the viewers because of the them of the show.

“A lot of people have a view that Yellowstone is all about land-use politics, is anti-woke, and appeals more to the heartland than coastal cities. But Kevin is calling that hogwash. What the show’s really about is a fear that a way of life is ending amid changes in culture and the threat of so-called progress,” the source said.

However, one should take the tabloid’s claims with a grain of salt. It is understandable why Costner might be protective of Yellowstone. But this doesn’t mean that he’s upset that the Emmys snubbed the series.

There are several reasons why the Emmys might have decided not to include Yellowstone in their roster of nominees this year. And Costner, who has been in the industry for decades, most likely understands this.

Yellowstone isn’t also the only show to draw mixed reactions from viewers. This typically happens to all TV shows and even movies because some fans would love it while others won’t.

It’s all just a matter of taste and perspective and Costner isn’t one to be upset when some people dislike Yellowstone’s theme, genre, and attack.
