Casey Affleck welcomed Jennifer Lopez to their family after her second wedding to Ben Affleck over the weekend. The heartfelt message comes after he missed the event.

On Instagram, the 47-year-old actor posted a throwback photo of himself with his brother and now-sister-in-law.

Entertainment Tonight noted that the picture is from 2002, during which time Lopez and Affleck were first romantically involved.

The “Interstellar” actor accompanied the decades-old photo with a touching message of support. He began, “Good things are worth waiting for.”

Casey Affleck continued, “Here is to twists and turns, new beginnings, and finding new reservoirs of old love. Welcome to the family. Get ready for some real dysfunction! Kidding. I am kidding.”

Ben Affleck’s younger brother ended the post with, “Jen, you are a gem. We love you so much,” and included a heart emoji.

The post, which emerged late Sunday, has amassed over 8,800 likes. Several netizens also shared their greetings in the comments section, with some showing support and adoration for the newly wedded couple.

ET, meanwhile, recalled that Affleck was in Los Angeles when his brother tied the knot again with the “Marry Me” actress in Georgia. He was reportedly spotted getting coffee at a Starbucks hours before the ceremony.

Page Six shared a video featuring an exchange between Casey Affleck and the paparazzi on Saturday. It said the actor was asked why he was not in Georgia, where Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez were for the weekend wedding.

The “Finest Hours” star reportedly mumbled an unintelligible response to the paparazzi. As claimed, he seemingly answered, “I have other things,” before driving away.

The publication pointed out, though, that the celebrity siblings “have always had a supportive relationship,” adding that it applies “both personally and professionally.”

Meanwhile, a source told People that Casey Affleck missed the nuptials in his brother’s Georgia estate “because of family, parental obligations at home.” As noted, he shared two sons with his former wife, Summer Phoenix.

No further information has since emerged regarding the celebrity’s absence from the “Accountant” star’s second wedding to Jennifer Lopez.

Nevertheless, the magazine recalled that Affleck was spotted with his girlfriend, Caylee Cowan, the day prior. They were said to have visited the “Affleck family favorite” Dunkin’ Donuts in Los Angeles.

Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez first got married in Las Vegas earlier in July. They exchanged vows again over the weekend, this time in front of their families and friends.

The event, which took place in Georgia, reportedly lasted three days from Friday. Some of the guests included Matt Damon and his wife, while podcaster Jay Shetty officiated the ceremony.
