Amidst the drama surrounding the divorce and alleged abuse between former couple Amber Heard and Johnny Depp, a former assistant of the actress claimed that the idea of fame got into her head while they were dating.

Kate James served as the Aquaman actress's personal assistant from 2012 to 2015, meaning she was right there when Amber started dating actor Johnny Depp. The two were married in February 2015 but three years later, they separated and divorced. The whole process was quite chaotic, with Amber accusing Johnny of being not only verbally but physically abusive as well. The accusations caused Depp his iconic role as Jack Sparrow in the Pirates of the Caribbean movie.

Micky reported that earlier this year, James a statement earlier this year that detailed her time working with the actress. From what she said, it seems that Heard was really into the relationship with Depp, simply because it made her famous. One thing that James observed was Amber's place was being recreated to look like Johnny's. Not only that, but in the first meeting the actress, James said that her style was more preppy, but that gradually changed into something more bohemian, as if to copy Depp's own style.

In her own words, James said that Amber relished the fame of being the one to date Johnny Depp. She allegedly claimed that Amber would tip off paparazzi when she went shopping and she liked buying magazines where she and Depp were photographed and talked about. James also said that Amber smothered Depp and hated it when she would have the chance to talk to Johnny, who she says is soft-spoken and peaceful.

Despite the fact they have been divorced since 2017, there is still a lot of animosity between the two. Depp has now filed a lawsuit against the actress and it looks like she is the one that will be losing roles now. While no official statement has been made, Koimoi has reported that there is a big possibility that not only will Amber be dropped from the Aquaman sequel, but that she will be replaced by Game of Thrones actress Emilia Clarke.

Emilia had already been paired with Jason Momoa in the HBO series, so there is no doubt that they already have the needed chemistry. The sequel will reportedly be released by 2022.
