Queen Elizabeth allegedly made sure to spend as much time as she can with her great-grandchildren, Archie and Lilibet.

In its June 13 issue, New Idea claimed that the queen immediately asked her staff to rearrange her schedule during her Platinum Jubilee after learning that Prince Harry, Meghan Markle, and their children will be heading to the United Kingdom.

Since the monarch has not seen Lilibet in person, she wanted to make sure that she will be able to get to know her great-grandchildren when they set foot in Britain.

“The queen believed it was the right thing to do. The plan was for her to visit them at Frogmore Cottage or have the Sussexes come up to Windsor Castle – all far from prying eyes behind the walls of the Windsor Estate, so she could have quality time with them,” the source said.

The insider also claimed that Archie and Lilibet must have given the queen a wonderful time before of their different but equally endearing personalities.

“Archie’s the cheeky epitome of his father at his age, so he would’ve kept Her Majesty entertained, and Lili, who’s walking, is just a doll. They both would have their Gan-Gan wrapped around their little fingers,” the source said.

According to Entertainment Tonight, the queen also attended Lilibet’s first birthday party at Frogmore Cottage. But no one knows if an official photo of Her Majesty with her two great-grandchildren will be released later.

The meeting was reportedly very important especially since Lilibet was named after the queen. The monarch’s nickname is Lilibet.

Last year, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex released an official statement announcing the birth of their second child. They also revealed that they decided to name her after the queen and her late grandmother, Princess Diana.

However, royal experts revealed that Prince Harry and Markle did not ask the queen for permission if they could use her nickname. As such, the couple was once again criticized by the public for allegedly disrespecting Her Majesty.

But as of late, there’s no proof that the queen became upset with Prince Harry and Markle’s decision to use her nickname for their daughter. If anything, it seems as though the monarch appreciated the gesture because it serves as a special tribute for her.
