Will Smith allegedly has ties to a murderous gang responsible for some child kidnappings.

In its June 6 issue, National Enquirer claimed that Smith admitted that he has ties to one of Philadelphia’s most notorious gangs, the Junior Black Mafia (JBM).

The gang reportedly terrorized the city at the height of the drug epidemic in the 1980s. And the group only disbanded a decade later.

Now, a source is claiming that Smith was an area of what the gang did years ago.

“I’m quite sure the muscles put down because there was a lot of money involved with Will Smith. I guess they knew he was going to have hits. Will had people around to approach those that threatened him,” the source said.

In his 2021 memoir, Smith confirmed his ties to the gang.

“When you’re a 21-year-old rapper from the inner city of Philadelphia who’s just made his first million dollars, the only people who can afford to hang with you are other rappers, professional athletes, or drug dealers. I picked drug dealers,” he wrote.

The source said that he knows exactly why gang members enjoyed hanging out with Smith.

“Will wasn’t an official member, just an affiliate because he was getting a lot of money and exposure. It worked for them because they could go to shows and it worked for him because if he needed some muscle, he’s got these guys. This is what they do. They sold drugs and murdered people,” the source said.

However, it’s unclear why the tabloid is making a big deal of Smith’s connection with the gang when the actor was the one that shared this information in his memoir.

And as the source confirmed, the Aladdin actor was not an official member of the group. Instead, he just hung out with some of the members by choice.

By the looks of it, the tabloid is just looking at ways on how they can destroy Smith’s reputation further. After all, the actor was recently involved in a controversy after he slapped Chris Rock at the Oscars.

The incident resulted in Smith being banned from the Academy. And he reportedly sought treatment after the incident.

To make things worse, Smith’s wife, Jada Pinkett-Smith didn’t seem to take his side on the matter. In her statement, she said that she didn’t ask her husband to defend her publicly.
