Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton have allegedly reached a rough patch in their relationship.

In its May 16 issue, OK! magazine claimed that Stefani thought that Shelton would always say yes to her. But to her surprise, the country singer has become more assertive ever since they tied the knot.

A source claimed that this other side of Shelton is not sitting well with his wife. And it’s causing some problems in their marriage.

“They’ve always tried hard to please each other, especially Blake because Gwen’s happiest when she gets her way. But he’s been asserting himself more since they got married, and it hasn’t been sitting well with Gwen,” the source said.

Other than this, the couple is also dealing with the renovations of their Oklahoma mansion. And the pressure has allegedly been a total nightmare for the couple because they couldn’t agree on anything.

Stefani and Shelton have allegedly been arguing over their bathroom tiles and kitchen cabinet handles. And they are also not on the same page when it comes to what food to put on the table.

“It bugs Blake when Gwen decides what they’re going to have for dinner without asking him because she’s mostly vegetarian and he likes his meat and potatoes,” the source said.

The No Doubt singer also gets upset over the fact that Shelton forgets to return every single thing that he gets in its proper place. And they also bicker overusing the same toothpaste because The Voice coach always forgets to squeeze from the bottom.

“They’re telling themselves the first year is always the hardest and that Blake and Gwen will work out the kinks. Still, it’s a little early to be pushing each other’s buttons all the time,” the source said.

This isn’t the first time that Stefani and Shelton were rumored to be feuding over almost everything. But just like all the rumors surrounding the couple, there’s no truth to these claims.

Shelton and Stefani are enjoying the first couple of months of their marriage. And there’s no proof that they are already facing such trivial problems.

It is also important to note that the couple dated for five years before they finally tied the knot. So, if they had differences over their use of toothpaste, the food that’s served on their table, and more they would’ve already resolved it early on.
