Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were allegedly supposed to join the royal family on the balcony of Buckingham Palace during the queen’s Platinum Jubilee.

In its May 16 issue, Heat UK claimed that the queen had a change of heart and decided to take the invitation after Prince Harry gave an interview with Hoda Kotb.

A source claimed that the Duke of Sussex was supposed to talk about the Invictus Games during the interview. But he shockingly discussed his private meeting with the queen.

What’s worse is that Prince Harry seemingly threw a shade at the royal family after he said that he wants to make sure that his grandmother is protected.

Even though the Duke of Sussex meant well, a source claimed that the queen realized that Britons and the royal family still have so much resentment toward Prince Harry.

As such, her upcoming Platinum Jubilee is not the perfect time for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex to make an appearance alongside the British clan on the balcony.

“They were invited onto the balcony, which is great for their image as royals in America because it sets them apart from other Hollywood stars. But it seems they’ve blown it again, with Harry rushing out and doing another controversial interview. It seems they can’t help themselves. But if Meghan and Harry are coming over, they definitely would’ve wanted a place on the balcony as that is the main event and would have confirmed them as still royalty,” the source said.

Prince Harry and Markle are allegedly disappointed following the queen’s decision. After all, they thought that their recent return to the United Kingdom would pave the way for them to be seen on British soil more often.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are also dealing with Netflix’s recent decision to cancel the latter’s animated series, Pearl.

“They’re finding out the hard way that Hollywood is a brutal, unforgiving place, no matter how well known you are. Meghan believed so passionately in this project, and while Netflix didn’t publicly give a reason for the show’s airing, she accepts that the market has shifted. But she’s ambitious. She sees how embarrassing this is for her. She wants to make a success of their brand, which means making a name for herself in politics,” the source said.

However, one should take the tabloid’s claims with a grain of salt.

Markle doesn’t have any plans to join politics. And there’s no indication that she and Prince Harry were humiliated by Netflix and the queen’s decisions.
