Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck are busy planning their wedding, but the couple is also allegedly ironing out their prenuptial agreement.

In its May 2 issue, In Touch Weekly claimed that Lopez has been adamant about what she wants to include in the prenup.

“Jennifer insisted on adding a no-cheating clause to their prenup, meaning that if he cheated, the document would be void and she’d be entitled to half his money. Of course, they never made it official, but she wants another prenup, and things have gotten tense, even though they’re older and wiser,” the source said.

The source also claimed that Lopez and Affleck’s lawyers have been going back and forth trying to make the prenup suitable for their respective clients. However, things are proving to be difficult to iron out.

“Everything is getting looked over with a fine-tooth comb. And there have been arguments. The cheating clause is back on the table. That’s the most sensitive topic, and Jennifer won’t budge on that. Cheating and addiction issues ruined Ben’s first chance at happiness with Jennifer. He swears that’s all behind him now, but Jennifer still wants a no-cheating clause in there,” the source said.

Meanwhile, another person who’s allegedly getting between the couple is Affleck’s ex-wife, Jennifer Garner. The Alias star is allegedly concerned about Affleck’s finances and the fact that Lopez seemingly wants to splurge on expensive things.

“Jen has already expressed concern about Ben and their kids’ financial future and keeping it secure. She doesn’t want him making a bad deal just because he’s a fool in love right now. Meanwhile, J.Lo’s team is trying to protect her twins. The objective is to iron out a prenup without anyone’s feelings being hurt. If they can’t do that, they may not make it to the altar again,” the source said.

However, one should take the tabloid’s claims with a grain of salt.

As of late, there’s still no proof that Affleck and Lopez will have a prenup. Since this is a private matter, it’s unlikely for such information to be disclosed.

But even if the couple gets a prenup, it seems that no one would be upset because this is meant to protect them, their assets, and their respective children.

As of late, no one also knows when Affleck and Lopez would tie the knot.
