Will Smith is allegedly under pressure following his recent Oscars scuffle with Chris Rock.

In its April 11 issue, Woman’s Day claimed that Smith’s wife, Jada Pinkett-Smith, and their children are worried about the actor.

A source also alleged that Smith and his wife are waiting to see how the scandal would affect their careers most especially the former’s.

“They’re both genuinely very worried about his future, given the general consensus is that while he stood up for his wife, he went way too far with the violence,” the source said.

The insider added that Smith’s team is patiently waiting for Hollywood’s verdict following the incident.

“Will’s team is scrambling to save his future. And at home, Jada’s struggling to keep him focused and positive. Privately, the stress is getting to them,” the source said.

True enough, Smith’s scuffle with Rock may have just cost him his career, at least for now. The actor was forced to quit the Academy after receiving a ton of criticisms over what he did to Rock.

Initially, fans and fellow celebrities thought that Smith and Rock did a skit during the Oscars but they soon realized that this wasn’t the case. Both parties already apologized to each other, but Smith experienced the so-called cancel culture due to his misconduct.

In his April 1 statement, Smith once again apologized for what happened and said that he’s quitting the Academy.

“I have directly responded to the Academy's disciplinary hearing notice, and I will fully accept any and all consequences for my conduct. My actions at the 94th Academy Awards presentation were shocking, painful, and inexcusable. The list of those I have hurt is long and includes Chris, his family, many of my dear friends and loved ones, all those in attendance, and global audiences at home. I betrayed the trust of the Academy,” Smith said in part.

The actor reportedly became enraged after Rock made fun of his wife’s baldness. But little did the comedian know that Pinkett-Smith has been suffering from alopecia so it must have been a sensitive matter for her.

At first, Smith was spotted laughing at the joke. But when he looked at his wife and saw the way she looked after hearing what Rock said, the actor rushed to the stage and slapped Rock.

The comedian has also apologized for making fun of Pinkett-Smith.
