Jennifer Aniston and the other cast members of Friends are allegedly freaking out over Matthew Perry’s upcoming memoir.

In its April 4 issue, New Idea claimed that Perry refused to show her co-stars a draft of his memoir, Friends, Lovers, and the Big Terrible Thing.

As such, Aniston, Courteney Cox, Matt LeBlanc, Lisa Kudrow, and David Schwimmer are worried about what Perry could have written about them.

“Jen and Courteney are freaking out. Jen’s concerned he’s going to turn her into a diet-obsessed neurotic because, well, she kind of was one back then, while Courteney fears he’ll spill about how he tried to steal her from her then-husband, David Arquette,” the source said.

But the insider claimed that Perry couldn’t care less about what his co-stars think and feel about his memoir. After all, this is his chance for redemption after all the criticisms he received from his co-stars. So, Perry has no plans to hold anything back.

“Despite his issues, Matthew has always been brilliant. And because he’s a writer, he observes people in ways that are often uncomfortably perceptive. It’s why Jen never allowed herself to really get close to him after he jokingly called her a man-eater when she had her alleged on-set fling with Matt LeBlanc,” the source said.

The insider added that even Kudrow was linked to LeBlanc before. So, she’s also worried that she could get dragged into the issue.

According to the source, Perry is not really out to get anyone from the cast of Friends. But he plans to write as honestly as possible so whatever transpired on the set is what he would share with his readers.

“He knows they’re all upset and doesn’t want anyone to get hurt, but he wants to write honestly. This is a deeply personal and cathartic project for Matthew,” the source concluded.

However, one should take the tabloid’s claims with a grain of salt.

Regardless of what the tabloid has been saying, there’s no proof that Perry would talk about his Friends co-stars extensively in his memoir.

It is also important to note that the memoir is about Perry and not Aniston, Cox, and the rest of the Friends cast members.

So, while it is possible for Perry to touch on his experiences on the show, it’s unlikely for him to out his co-stars’ secrets if there are any.
