Prince Charles is still, allegedly, upset with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

In its Dec. 6 issue, Woman’s Day claimed that Prince Charles could no longer contain his upset feelings to the point that he’s asking for the Sussexes’ royal titles to be stripped off.

A source claimed that Prince Charles had a conversation with Queen Elizabeth, and the monarch refused to be the one to strip the Sussexes of their titles.

“The queen doesn’t want to be the one to strip them of titles – it’s not fair that it could be one of her final legacies and she doesn’t deserve to have it end on that note,” the source said.

However, the source also claimed that the queen told her eldest son that if he thinks stripping Prince Harry and Markle off their titles is what’s best then he should be the one to do it.

“But she’s told Charles that if he thinks it’s the right move, she supports him doing it. She’s handed most of her powers to him as unofficial regent as it is,” the source said.

However, one should take the tabloid’s claims with a grain of salt.

First, there’s no proof that the queen made Prince Charles her unofficial regent. These kinds of rumors started circulating again after the queen was hospitalized.

Since there is an ongoing fear that Her Majesty doesn’t have long to live, royal fans and royal experts believe that she’s relying more on her children and grandchildren.

While this may be true since Prince Charles has been taking over some of the queen’s royal duties and engagements, it’s not true that he’s her unofficial regent.

It is not also true that Prince Charles wants to strip Prince Harry and Markle of their royal titles. And even if he wants to rid a couple of their royal titles, he doesn’t have the power to do this.

In fact, even the queen doesn’t have the power to strip Prince Harry and Markle of their titles because only the British Parliament can do this.

So, regardless of what Prince Harry and Markle’s critics say and no matter how much they beg for the couple’s titles to be removed, the only people that can make this decision is the Parliament and not the royal family.

For now, Prince Harry and Markle are still using their Duke and Duchess of Sussex titles. But they are no longer allowed to use His and Her Royal Highnesses.
