Gwen Stefani is starting to make a big splash in the world of country music.

Just recently, Stefani’s song, “Nobody but You” was nominated for Music Event of the Year at the Academy of Country Music Awards.

However, in its April 12 issue, National Enquirer is claiming that not all country fans and artists are thrilled that Stefani was nominated in the prestigious category.

After all, Stefani isn’t a country artist. And they are convinced she doesn’t even like to live in places where country music and artists originate because she refused to settle down in Oklahoma with Blake Shelton.

Stefani and Shelton currently live in their $13 million mansion in Encino with the No Doubt singer’s three children.

A source for the tabloid claimed that everyone’s shaking their heads after hearing Stefani’s nomination even though she’s been very humble about it.

During a recent interview, the singer said that she cannot fathom how her song would become number one when it’s from a genre that she isn’t even a part of.

Stefani said that to be recognized for her efforts is monumental, exciting, and unexpected.

However, the tabloid insisted that not everyone believes Stefani. And they are also allegedly convinced that her humility is just for show.

The source said that Stefani saying that she loves Nashville and the South is one thing. But choosing to live in Encino suggests that she could be lying.

However, Stefani’s decision to release a country track but not to live in Nashville or Oklahoma are two separate things. After all, there are several country artists that live in the city. And there are also several celebrities that live in Nashville but who are not country artists.

Meanwhile, the tabloid is also questioning Stefani and Shelton’s wedding plans. The couple got engaged last year.

They said that the couple could decide to tie the knot in Oklahoma for the show. But immediately after their ceremony ends, they would go back to Encino to start their married life.

As of late, Stefani and Shelton are still mum about their wedding plans. During his appearance in Today, Shelton hinted that his wedding to Stefani will take place before November.

After all, the new season of The Voice will kick off this month, and he might be too busy to get married. Still, Shelton insisted that all their wedding plans are tentative due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
