One of the most prominent obstructions to get married to Blake Shelton is now removed. The Catholic Church has annulled Gwen Stefani's marriage to Gavin Rossdale.

Stefani is believed to be a pious Catholic, and her belief permits her to get married again only when the church has annulled the previous marriage. The 51-year-old songstress was married to the Bush singer for more than a decade and shared three children with him.

Meanwhile, it has been reported by Us Weekly that the church has finally granted the annulment. An insider, reportedly, mentioned that the Vatican tribunal took the decision that comes five years after the duo parted ways. 

While the annulment is now official, the Hollaback Girl will soon receive written notification. The annulment is important as the songstress wants to have a Christian wedding, which would not have been possible without getting it. 

For the universe, the Make Me Like You hitmaker had started the process of getting an annulment several months before her long-term beau Shelton proposed to her. It seems the country crooner is highly supportive of her religious beliefs, according to a source. 

Also, reports have it that the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic has changed her perception of getting married. While Stefani and Shelton are not against tying the knot, they want to do it safely, according to Daily Mail. 

Insiders claim that Stefani does not want to take any risk at this point and wants to wed the moment social distancing norms are removed. She would not like to exchange her vows without the presence of her family members and friends. 

It is likely though that the wedding will take place sometime this year. The wedding venue could be at Blake Shelton’s Oklahoma ranch, where he has built a chapel. 

Gwen Stefani will be getting married for the third time while her fiancée will be tying the knot for the second time. Shelton was previously married to fellow country singer Miranda Lambert.  

In other news, The Sweet Escape hitmaker shared a set of pictures from the video shoot of her number Let Me Reintroduce Myself. There was one snap where she is seen with her lookalike double. They both look quite similar to each other. 

The two women donned one of the most famous outfits of Stefani from the 90s. The duo sported a pair of blue trousers and white crop tops and looked like twins.
