Cardi B, for the win!

Cardi B's legal battle versus her former manager

American female rapper Cardi B once filed a breach of contract lawsuit worth $10 million to her former manager. However, the court dismissed the charges, leading to another case, this time, to Cardi B.

NME reported that in 2018, Klenord Raphael sued the WAP rapper, accusing her of breaching the contract they signed by inking with Solid Foundation, the management division of Quality Control records.

Klenord, Cardi B's former manager, allegedly claimed that he is responsible for discovering her to become the artist she is now. He added that he plays a vital role in shaping the career image of Cardi B and as well as molding her topping music reign.

The Bodak Yellow rapper was led to counterclaim the lawsuit filed by Klenord amounting to $30 million. The counterclaim filed by Cardi B subsequently states that her former manager inked the original piece of the deal without any supervision from a lawyer.

Cardi B also featured the inability of Klenord in providing genuine records of her income during their partnership. The rapper made clear on her counterclaim that her former manager has been taking money from her than he was indebted.

Eventually, the original charges and the rapper counterclaim were put into the court's trash bin. "This action, including all claims and counterclaims, is hereby dismissed in its entirety with prejudice against all parties," the documents of the case's dismissal wrote.

Amid the agitating lawsuits and charges that both parties are trying their best to win, Cardi B emerged victoriously.

It was late last week when the court dismissed the charges and her counterclaims, with the court demanding both parties to fulfill upon agreed. That said, the action requires both parties to bear their costs and lawyer fees.

In particular, the dismissal means that Cardi B's earnings that are withheld will be adequately distributed.

With her delight, Cardi B took to her Twitter to express her freedom from the lawsuit chains. She retweeted a news site that announces her win against the lawsuit.

Cardi B's legal battles

Aside from her former manager, Cardi B was sued earlier this month for using a photo of his tattoo on his 2016 mixtape. The man claims to own the tattoo highlights the tattoo photo on Cardi B's mixtape entitled Gangsta Bitch Music Vol 1.

Another lawsuit was filed against the rapper for defamation by Trump supporters. The charges were inflicted after a heated confrontation where Cardi B and her sister accused them of racism.
