Queen Elizabeth has, allegedly, outsmarted Meghan Markle.

In its Jan. 4 issue, Globe claimed that the queen decided to evict Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank from Frogmore Cottage to ensure that Markle won’t get her way.

A source claimed that Markle wanted to rent out the property to the royal couple so that she and Prince Harry wouldn’t have to shoulder finances in the United Kingdom.

Additionally, the Duchess of Sussex wants to make sure that Prince Harry won’t have any reason to return to the UK because he no longer has a home there.

However, the queen knew what Markle was trying to do that’s why she decided to evict Princess Eugenie and Brooksbank from the property.

Princess Eugenie couldn’t help but feel that she was played by Prince Harry and Markle. But the queen also thinks that her granddaughter should’ve known better than to make deals with the Suits alum.

The insider also claimed that Markle is fuming at Her Majesty for busting her plans.

“Meghan is, reportedly, beside herself with rage. Her scheming to cut Harry from his homeland has failed. She’ll never be able to outwit the queen,” the source said.

Last month, it was reported that Prince Harry and Markle got rid of their stuff at Frogmore Cottage late at night in preparation for Princess Eugenie and Brooksbank’s arrival.

But after six weeks, reports confirmed that Princess Eugenie and Brooksbank moved out of the property.

Prior to this, there were claims that Prince Harry and Markle didn’t inform the queen about their plan to rent out Frogmore Cottage to the couple.

And since the queen technically owns the property, the Sussexes should’ve informed her before making any deals.

After Princess Eugenie and Brooksbank moved out of the property, royal commentators revealed in the HeirHeads podcast that Prince Harry immediately sent the queen a fat cheque to cover the renovation cost, as well as the rent on the property.

Royal experts were convinced that this was Prince Harry and Markle’s way of issuing a thinly-veiled insult at the queen.

Prince Harry and Markle announced their decision to quit from The Firm in January. And they performed their final royal duties in March.

Shortly after, the couple relocated to the United States. But even though the United States is their current home, they still got to keep Frogmore Cottage.

After all, it was a wedding gift from the queen.
