Prince William received a slew of criticisms after it was revealed that he didn’t immediately disclose his COVID-19 diagnosis.

The Duke of Cambridge tested positive for the illness in April, but royal fans only found out about it last month.

Prince William, reportedly, said that he didn’t want to draw any more attention to himself.

Unfortunately, he was slammed for his decision to keep his health issues private.

However, royal commentator Howard Hodgson said that Prince William could not be criticized for not sharing details about his health. After all, this is a personal matter.

Hodgson said that even though Prince William is a royal, it is his right to keep details about his health private if he so desires.

The royal commentator also compared Kate Middleton’s husband to Prince Charles, who is open about his health issues.

He said that Prince William is more similar to Queen Elizabeth, who doesn’t like talking about her health publicly.

Meanwhile, Hodgson said that it is still unclear if Prince William will agree to get the COVID-19 vaccine.

And if he does get it, he would have to decide whether he would disclose the information to the public.

According to reports, the queen and Prince Philip will receive the vaccine because they are considered high-risk. However, they won’t be able to jump the queue even though they are royals.

A source told Express that the royal couple is being discouraged from promoting the vaccine because this is also a private and controversial matter.

After all, not everyone believes in vaccines, and the queen saying that she got it and it worked may influence other people’s decisions.

The publication said that other than the queen and Prince Philip, the other members of the royal family that are considered high risk include Prince Edward, Duke of Kent, Katherine, Duchess of Kent, and Princess Alexandra.

Other members of the royal family who are in their 70s, 60s, and 50s include Prince Michael of Kent, Prince Richard, Duke of Gloucester, Baroness Michael of Kent, Duchess of Gloucester, Camilla Parker Bowles, Prince Charles, Princess Anne, Prince Andrew, Prince Edward, Sophie, Countess of Wessex.

However, not all members of the royal family will be able to get the vaccine.

For instance, Zara Tindall just announced that she and Mike Tindall are expecting their third child together.

Princess Eugenie won’t also be able to get the vaccine because she’s also pregnant with her and Jack Brooksbank’s first child.
