The strain of death is making Shinra smile in Fire Force Season 2, Episode 24. The new episode is called Signs of Upheaval.

The official promo trailer for Fire Force Season 2, Episode 24, has been made available online, teasing what happens next.

“The strain of death is making me smile. Next time on Fire Force Season 2, Episode 24, Sign of Upheaval,” the preview text read.

In the last episode of the anime series, Shinra is asked to report everything Dr. Giovanni said to him in the Nether. He explains that Adolla Link is a phenomenon that supposedly only happens among those who have an Adolla Burst or who have been in contact with Adolla.

Shinra is connected to not only Dr. Giovanni but also Lieutenant Konro of the 7th. Shinra announces that he is heading over to the 7th to meet with Konro. He believes that his meeting with Konro might prove helpful in stopping the Evangelist.

Shinra and Captain Hibana embarks on a journey to the 7th. He wonders why Hibana has agreed to go with him. She explains that Konro could have ties to the Evangelist, and she feels Shinra is too naive and gets fooled easily.

Later, Shinra and Hibana see Konro with a White Clad. Soon, the White Clad attacks Konro, and Shinra wants to intervene, but Hibana stops him citing they can catch them in the act. However, Konro manages to kill the White Clad. Hibana and Shinra finally meet the Lieutenant of the 7th. Shinra tells about their connection through the Adolla Link and asks if he has ever seen a hellish and alternate world.

Konro confirms that he has something peculiar during the Great Fire of Asakusa. And this is when he came down with his tephrosis.

Konro remembers the day when he encountered an Infernal that was unlike any other. He was a mirror image of Konro. He asked the Infernal if he was trying to replace him.

He tells Shinra if that was some other world, then it would confirm that he had an Adolla Link. Meanwhile, Hibana thinks that the Infernal might be Konro’s doppelgänger.

Fire Force Season 2, Episode 24, is scheduled to broadcast on Friday, Dec. 11.
