During an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Braff, 45, opened up about his anguish for Cordero. The Broadway actor's right leg has been amputated amid the agonizing health battle. Braff told the outlet that the health crisis of his friend Cordero has been worse than anyone he heard of who hasn't succumbed to the deadly infection yet.

The Alex, Inc. actor said Nick Cordero's wife Amanda Kloots, 38, has been staying in his guest house for seven months along with her baby. Kloot was house-shopping in Los Angeles to make their move there, he explained while opening up about the tragic health crisis his friend Cordero is currently dealing with.

The 41-year-old actor is hospitalized at Cedars-Sinai Hospital, where is kept on a ventilator, Braff said. Cordero is currently unconscious and has lost his leg citing complications, and every day they have no idea what will happen, he said.

Cordero's wife and son are currently living in Braff's guest house, and they have been accompanied by her brother and sister who are not only taking care of her but also helping her take care of the baby. Zach, who is a South Orange, New Jersey native is living with his girlfriend Florence Pugh.

Speaking about how they are interacting with Amanda and her family, Braff said he and his girlfriend Florence bring them flowers, food, and wine without ignoring social distancing guidelines. He said Amanda is amazing as she leaves no stone unturned in a bid to keep his fans and family members updated on his health combat via social media platforms.

Given that she is a motivation trainer, Braff said Amanda has understandably adopted a crisis dealing mode, Braff said. She not only uses social media to dole out updates about her husband's health crisis but literally tries to motivate other people at the same time.

Braff said Cordero's fight for surviving represents how deadly the virus can be in anyone. He pointed out that a lot of people are still under an impression that the virus can prove to be life-threatening only if you are too old, noting that his friend is just 41 years old and was healthy before he was tested positive for the COVID-19.

Kloots took to social media earlier this month to reveal that medics initially thought her husband had pneumonia. Moreover, Cordero didn't test positive for coronavirus initially, but when he was tested again, it was found that he had been infected.
