WARNING: This article may contain some spoilers for The Conners season 2 episode 12. Read at your own risk.

The Conners season 2 episode 12 is arriving on Tuesday night on ABC, with the title "Live From Landford." The upcoming episode isn't an ordinary one as it will feature a live episode, and there will be discussions about politics. Perhaps, this is the biggest experiment seen in a sitcom.

The story of The Conners season 2 episode 12 is influenced by the results of the New Hampshire primary. So, viewers will see things change in real-time depending on the results. Yet, the series will still try to be flexible as things go along.

Perhaps, one of the challenges of the writers is how to deliver a political story without being too partisan. But although the episode will feature politics discussions, there will still be fun moments worth-watching in the sitcom.

In the episode, Mark is watching the results of New Hampshire primary for a school report with Harris. However, the latter isn't interested in it as he believes the real change wouldn't be achieved as long as money influences politics.

This will then prompt the family to discuss their differing takes on why people need to vote. They are going to talk about the idea of voting a candidate that you may not love but someone who will screw you the least. While the episode seems risky, it is also relatable t most viewers.

The upcoming episode will have deep discussions about politics, but its goal is not to elaborate on the whole election process. Instead, viewers will have the opportunity to see people coming together and having some interesting discussions on why voting is important.

Meanwhile, what makes The Conners season 2 episode 12 more interesting is that there will also be a separate live episode on the West Coast; incorporating different results than the prior version. In an interview with TVLine, executive producer Bruce Helford shared his thoughts about the subject.

Helford said it's the first time they do it for the East Coast; it will be early returns. Afterward, the episode will be more about the results. He said airing separate episodes on East and West Coast would be nice as it gives them a chance to say something meaningful about the process.

But, the upcoming episode will not entirely focus on politics. The episode will still deliver other characters' stories, including Louise getting an opportunity that may send her away from Landford. The family will then interfere with her and Dan's complicated relationship.

The Conners season 2 episode 12 will air on Tuesday, Feb. 11, on ABC.
