Lady A recently announced that they wouldn't be performing at Country Music Association Awards 2020. One of the musical group's family members has been tested positive for coronavirus and since then, the band has been dropped from the event.

The news broke when the country group was in Nashville and about to go on stage after an hour. The band took Instagram to disclose the contraction of COVID-19 to one of their family members. Lady A posted on their official social media account that having a look at their past contributions to CMA Awards while the fun they had every year seems like family to them.

However, they further mentioned that it is upsetting that they won't perform as their close family members are positive this year. Although the trio, Hillary Scott, Dave Haywood, and Charles Kelley are not tested positive but being cautious to other people they love at the event, they decided to quarantine at home.

They further said that it is disappointing that they won't be able to perform with Thomas Rhett and Darius Rucker. However, they revealed that Kelley has already recorded his performance on stage with Carly Pearce. The post further said that they all would cheer their friends' performances from their respective houses like fans.

This is the 54th annual CMA Awards, which is going to mark the first award show held in 2020 with a live audience. The event will be attended by musicians and singers who live during the ongoing pandemic. However, the organizers have ensured that the safety measures are taken seriously and regular checkups are being held with every artist and crew member.

Many shows were held before the CMA Awards amid pandemic, but they were done without a live audience or virtually. This is one of the reasons not only fans but even performers are extremely excited about the show.

This is not the first incident of COVID-19 that took place amid the award function. A couple of days ago, Pearce was also going to perform I Hope You're Happy Now with Lee Brice but he got tested positive and the award organizers replaced him with Kelley.

However, Pearce disclosed that the news didn't go well with her initially as she almost wrecked in her car. She was shocked because the song is special for both of them. Tyler Hubbard also got tested positive, due to which he had to drop the event.
