She received backlashes after her lavish 40th birthday celebration on a remote island. Now, critics say that Kim Kardashian is trying to regain the public's favor by asking them to vote for electing the country’s new President.

Kardashian has a follower base of 190 million on Instagram. Detractors claim that she is trying to divert her followers’ attention after many of them criticized how she spent a hefty sum of money when the world is battling against the COVID-19 pandemic.

After sharing some stunning pictures of her 64-year-old mother, Kris Jenner and herself, the reality TV icon urged her fans to vote in the upcoming presidential election. However, it is interesting to note that the KUWTK star did not endorse either Joe Biden or Donald Trump.

The mom-of-four reminded her fans that they need to go out and vote in six days. This is the first time she responded on social media after being widely criticized for partying with 30 of her family members and closest pals on a remote private island.

However, though her post appeared to be an attempt to appease her social media followers, her act appeared to have backfired to some extent. Many expressed their disgust, mentioning that the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star was using the post to share more pictures from her vacation.

A follower asked whether she was requesting them to vote from her private island or not. Another follower wrote that they do not think it was fair that wealthy people can enjoy while most people have to suffer from the outbreak of COVID-19.

A third user mentioned that she could have contributed to various food banks instead of spending her wealth on a trip like this. However, other followers seemed to be keen to know who Kim Kardashian would be casting her vote for.

The curiosity was more because she abstained from endorsing either of the presidential candidates. However, all her followers were not against her vacation. A follower confessed that they would have also flown off their pals to a luxury island if they possessed that kind of money, Daily Mail reports.

Meanwhile, Khloe Kardashian came forward in defense of her sister while speaking on The Ellen DeGeneres Show’s Thursday episode. She responded to the criticisms and memes targeted against Kim and her family for embarking upon that gateway, LA Times reports.

On the other hand, Kim Kardashian wrote in one of her Instagram posts that she realizes many people cannot afford the kind of lifestyle she leads. She feels humbled to realize how privileged her life is, The Guardian reports.
