Queen Elizabeth is being encouraged to allow Britons to vote for her next successor.

Even though the Order of Succession states that the queen’s heir, Prince Charles, is her rightful successor, the CEO Republic said that Britons should be given a choice.

While speaking with Express, Graham Smith said that there used to be polls that revealed that there’s no majority that’s in favor of Prince Charles or Prince William succeeding the queen.

Smith said that there’s clearly a division with regards to the public’s opinion. And the choices shouldn’t just be limited to Prince Charles and Prince William.

The outspoken critic of the royal family also said that it’s time for the British people to vote for the next Head of State and not wait on the queen’s successor based on an outdated rule.

Other than his comments on the queen’s successor, Smith also slammed the members of the royal family for their frequent use of social media. He said that because of the advent of social media, royal fans have become more concerned about the celebrity side of the royal family and not their work.

Smith has been pushing for the end of the British monarchy for years. In 2015, he said that the monarchy was wrong for pragmatic, principled, and political reasons.

Last month, Smith also said that the monarchy needs to survive because of the queen. However, Prince Charles is not as well-liked or supported by the public as his mother. As such, he said that Prince Charles as a king could pose problems to the monarchy.

Smith dislikes Prince Charles so much that he even produced a film about the heir to the throne called The Man Who Shouldn’t Be King.

In the film, Smith said that he thinks Prince Charles would hasten the end of the monarchy.

Smith previously said that the problem with Prince Charles is that he can’t seem to stop himself from expressing his thoughts about politics. The members of the royal family aren’t allowed to talk about issues related to politics because they are supposed to remain neutral.

In fact, Prince Harry was recently criticized for talking about the US elections while still using his royal title. Shortly after, it was announced that he was removed as the captain-general of the Royal Marines. And the role was given to his older brother, Prince William.
