Kelsea Ballerini rocked the CMT Awards event with her stunning dress, if you call it that! Yes, the 27-year-old singer and songwriter donned a beautiful dress on the red carpet during the event that looked like a mini dress made with a disco ball theme.

However, the Love Me Like You Mean It singer took social media to clear the mystery behind the outfit. The singer opened up on Instagram that the black-less mini dress was her blouse, which left her fans and followers in awe.

In the caption alongside her picture in the dress, the singer wrote that others told her it is a shirt while she replied, "no." Netizens much appreciated Ballerini's fashion style of donning the Tom Ford's dress in a creative way.

The country-pop star matched her blouse turned mini dress with silver sandals that had snake-effect and completed the look with white hoops. CMT's official handle couldn't stop but to praise the star and revealed their obsession for the singer.

"You already know our obsession for @KelseaBallerini is real and her workin' this virtual video booth just took it to a whole other level, can't wait to see what's in store for her tonight at the #CMTawards!" CMT tweeted.

The singer was nominated for three different categories, such as the year's CMT performance, video of the year, and female video of the year. The CMT performance was aligned with Halsey as they performed on Graveyard and the viewers loved the duet.

Although Ballerini couldn't garner any award out of three this year from CMT, she shared a cute message for her fans on Twitter. The singer wrote that one day it would be "our day" while she thanked all her fans for voting "relentlessly."

She concluded the message by adding that she will be performing soon. Ballerini went on the stage later during the show in Los Angeles and performed with the 26-year-old singer. Halsey and Ballerini sang The Other Girl at a karaoke bar from the Kelsea album.

For the stunning performance, Ballerini dipped into a leather dress with cowboy boots and on the other hand, Halsey wore a crop top, black leather pants and complimented the look with snakeskin's pink boots.

Last month, Ballerini dropped a pandemic friendly version of Kelsea, which was originally released in March. In an interview, she explained that the new version is out for people locked in their own houses due to the ongoing pandemic with a glass of wine.
