"I told Gwen when I saw who the other nominees were in our category, I was like, 'That would've been cool, but I don't know what our chance of beating Justin Bieber is,'" Shelton disclosed. The singer further said that it is unbelievable that they won the award in the same category the pop star was nominated.

However, he took the opportunity to thank his fans for investing time in voting for the couple. Shelton also revealed that he saw a number of feeds flooded on his social media profile by the fans, who rooted for the couple.
