Nicole Kidman is one of the most versatile actresses in Hollywood today. The actress reveals why she did not refuse to disrobe in front of the camera for her role in the film Eyes Wide Shut.

Kidman boasts an illustrious acting career in Hollywood spanning over several decades now. The actress has portrayed different types of roles in her acting career.

Some of these roles involved undressing in front of the camera and intimate scenes. The most prominent among such films is Eyes Wide Shut, which was directed by Stanley Kubrick.

Kidman acted in this erotic mystery thriller in 1999 and had some bare it all scenes apart from multiple lovemaking scenes with her former spouse Tom Cruise. She spoke to the New York Times about disrobing on-screen, including her role in the film Eyes Wide Shut

Her director told the actress that her role demanded frontal undressing and she was not quite sure about how the scenes will turn out, to begin with. Eventually, they came to a contractual agreement.

Kubrick would show her the scenes that demanded disrobing before including them in the movie. His action made her feel completely safe with those scenes in the film.

Kidman further acknowledged that she did not refuse to do any of those scenes. However, she wanted to be sure that people did not laugh at her while she was baring it all for her role.

The stunning Aussie star admitted that she felt safe while shooting for those scenes and could explore her role's various aspects with great confidence. When people on set made her comfortable with their words and actions, she felt what a fabulous place it was to be as a female.

Meanwhile, Kidman’s most recent role in a miniseries for HBO titled The Undoing also has some artistically shot love scenes, according to reports. The miniseries is based on a novel called You Should Have Known.  The novel has been penned by Jean Hanff Korelitz and was published in 2014.

These series marks the coming together of Nicole Kidman and David E. Kelley after they worked together in Big Little Lies. Kidman and High Grant, her co-star in the show, portray the roles of a happily married couple called Grace and Jonathan Fraser.

They are leading a contented life when their world is turned upside down by a gruesome death. The killing removes the curtain from a series of horrible revelations while Grace becomes a primary suspect for it.

The miniseries will have six episodes in total and also feature other actors such as Edgar Ramirez, Noah Jupe, and Lily Rabe. The show was initially delayed due to the outbreak of COVID-19. Nicole Kidman's The Undoing will premiere on Oct. 26, 2020, in Australia, Daily Mail reports.
