The royal family once again snubs Meghan Markle after finding out that a very special royal brooch passed down from the late Queen Mother was not made available for the Duchess of Sussex to wear.

The Maple leaf brooch, a gift from King George VI to Queen Elizabeth before their historic 1939 trip to Canada, is a very important piece of jewelry in the royal family.

Queen Elizabeth has been seen donning the brooch on her trips to Canada over the years. The Queen has also handed it down to Camilla Parker-Bowles and Kate Middleton to use.

Unfortunately, Meghan Markle has been disregarded with the honor of wearing the brooch. The Duchess, who severed her ties with the royal family earlier this year, has not been handed the right to wear the brooch.

A big snub from the royal family!

The British royal family has a rich history with Canada. As one of its commonwealth countries, the Queen and other senior royal members often visit the beautiful country.

Ties between the United Kingdom and Canada go all the way back, and it has been as strong as ever.

This important piece of jewelry has been handed down to Queen Elizabeth II from her mother. It has made it only available for the future Queen Consorts to wear, including Camilla and Kate.

Meghan Markle, who has been alleged to have a cold relationship with the Queen, was never given a chance to wear the Maple leaf brooch.

The brooch features diamonds set in a platinum shaped sugar maple leaf and was commissioned to jewelry company Aspery by King George VI.

Despite the Duchess of Sussex marrying the sixth-in-line to the throne, it is unlikely for her to don the brooch as only Queen Consorts have been given a chance to wear it.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry were able to do one official royal visit in Canada back in January 2020, but the Sussex’s have announced their plans to leave the royal firm by that time.

Queen Elizabeth II has worn the Maple brooch over 24 times. Canada has been the most visited country of the reigning sovereign.

The Duchess of Cornwall, Camilla Parker-Bowles, has only been seen wearing the brooch twice, during an official visit with Prince Charles in 2011 and subsequently in 2017.

On the other hand, Kate Middleton has donned the maple brooch ample of times on official visits to Canada with husband Prince William.
