Neve Campbell revealed that she would be joining the Scream 5 cast. Yes, the 47-year-old Canadian actress was last seen in the franchise when Screen 4 was released in 2011, and since then, fans have been waiting for the Scream cast to reunite.

After a long wait of nine years, Scream's horror franchise will reunite old co-actors of Campbell, Courteney Cox, and David Arquette. The actress revealed that she would soon be leaving her house and get back in the country to work.

In an interview with Matt Cohen, Campbell acknowledged that this would be the first time in over six months that she will step on the sets. The actress said that she is sure not to be the only one who is struggling to go back to their respective works post coronavirus lockdown.

However, she revealed her excitement to reunite with her old friends on the project. The actress further said that she is excited about portraying Sidney's character once again and Arquette and Cox. She said that this horror franchise meant a lot to her as he changed her personal and professional life.

 “I am excited [about] stepping back in Sidney's shoes and seeing Courteney and David. Those movies mean so much to me for my life and career, and they are always a blast to do, so it should be fun,” she said.

The first installment of the horror franchise was released back in 1996,. During an interview, Arquette revealed that he hopes to restore his iconic mustache look of Sheriff Riley's character in the upcoming sequel.

On the other hand, Jenna Ortega, who will be seen in the new installment, said that it feels "a dream come true." Besides Scream 5, Campbell also promoted her new movie, Clouds, ready to stream since Oct. 16 on Disney Plus. Clouds is a musical movie helmed by Justin Baldoni that revolves around Zach, a teenager who creates his own band and later went on to release a motivational track called "Clouds."

However, his career slowly reaches to the next level through his singles, and even his crush starts to take interest, but he learns that he barely has six months more to live. The film is an adaptation of Fly a Little Higher, and Campbell said that the film is being released at the perfect time as the year is difficult amid pandemic.
