There are two kinds of celebrities. When fans hit out at them, some soak it in and decide not to add fuel to fire – while the other group of stars side with taking a stand and clapping back to let everyone know that they are not made to be given an earful.

Eva Mendes may proudly sign up for the latter group, here’s why. Recently, someone from her social media community accused her of staying home too often and not getting out enough.

The accusation is a derivative of the 46-year-old actress’ throwback post on Instagram on Sunday. Mendes took to Instagram to post a shot from an old photo shoot. The image is in greyscale featuring Mendes in a gorgeous form-fitting black dress running along the sand. The humorous caption points that the Hitch star has been to a beach this entire year and she openly wrote that the shot was from 15 years back.

Her caption reads, “Went for a run on the beach this morning. No, I didn’t... 15 years ago. Haven’t seen a beach this year. Haven’t been on a run this year.” That sums up a bit of her lifestyle - especially from the angle of going out vaguely suggesting she likes to stay home.

The awesome pairing of the shot and the caption worked as a good enough encouragement to a fan who probably should have held in his opinion.  While most of her followers enjoyed the throwback, one suggested that her husband Ryan Gosling should make efforts to get her out of her shell.

The actress immediately clapped back and responded in the best possible manner. She responded to the comment saying that she would more love to be home with her partner than anything else in the world.

Her picture was truly honest, but her reply to the question raised by one of her followers seems to be even more truthful.

Eva and Ryan are known for keeping their relationship out of the prying sight of media and fans – they rarely share bits from their personal settings and outings. For the actress, spending time with her partner carries more value than going out to some nice location to spend time.

This is exactly what her fans are loving - a strong stance towards her relationship with Gosling. Social Media is a place of interaction, discussion, idea-sharing, and much more – but celebrities have to do a little more than that oftentimes.
