'I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!' Hosts Anthony McPartlin and Declan Donnelly were super excited to be back to their homeland for the latest season of the show. It was all set to be the first time that 'I’m a Celebrity' would be based in the United Kingdom, but apparently, the way to Wales isn’t as easy as it seems due to the fears of renewed coronavirus outbreak lurking in the background.

The United Kingdom is currently observing a significant resurgence in the number of fresh coronavirus cases, due to which some locations in the country are being rolled back into the lockdowns. Unfortunately, Wales is also one of the listed places. The fresh lockdown limits public gathering and restricts any sort of social bubble and indoor parties.

The 20th season of the ITV’s flagship series is due to start filming later this autumn at Gwrych Castle in Conwy. The new lockdown protocols that have been put in place to contain the spread of deadly viruses pose a big challenge to the makers and contributors. If the lockdown rules stay for longer, the biggest season of the popular celebrity show may have to be called off which will make the horrible news for fans and everybody involved in the making of this unique-concept show.

The 20th season of the 'I’m a Celebrity' was initially planned to shot in Australia, but due to the pandemic led travel restrictions that could not be possible, so the makers thought it would be best if it stays in the home country for this season.

The decision was well appreciated as it also meant a good change for fans. Hosts Ant and Dec were psyched up to be close to their family and friends, but the coronavirus has put the plans again into jeopardy.

As per reports, it was a costly affair to turn the castle into the set for a wild show of this kind.

A source from the Sun said that it was planned to be a blast, “This isn't a holiday camp for the stars, but without a roof, everyone would have been utterly miserable for three weeks, which would not make great telly. ITV wants viewers to largely recognize the show."

Pandemic is taking a toll but it’s not yet certain, so fans may pin their hopes on a change in situations in the country for the shooting to start as soon as possible.
