Political experts would say it’s too late to mend up matters. Is it really so President Donald Trump? Yes, if we go by Trump’s tally on public poll approval/disapproval rating board.

Since the pandemic hit, Trump’s approval rating in the United States has been on a sharp downturn – from over 50 percent to quite below 50 percent towards the end of last month.

As per polls by The Wall Street Journal, ABC News, NBC News, and Quinnipiac University, at the dawn of this year in the months of January and February, Trump’s approval rating was peaking at 57 percent. However, based on the Gallup polling report, there has been a turnaround - in place of approval, the disapproval rating of Trump now stands at close to 56 percent which is proving to be a major challenge for the President.

Trump’s disapproval rating is on par with that of former one-term President Jimmy Carter and George Bush – both of whom lost their reelections bids within two months. Well, if the history repeats itself, Trump will have no reason to celebrate the post-2020 presidential election.

The latest poll released this Sunday puts President Trump’s approval rating for management of coronavirus at only 35 percent which is alarmingly low.

There is a lot to blame, but it has not only to do with Trump’s mismanagement of the coronavirus, but lots of more underlying factors are also turning out to play against the President.

Donald Trump began his presidential course on a very energetic note – throwing over old ones and constructing new laws and rules that were too focused on American citizens that it came as a threat to minorities. From local people to famous Hollywood celebrities, all started an open criticism of the Trump regime – and that can be credited with starting the disapproval movement against Trump.

His failed media interactions, clashes over Twitter, and most importantly not so progressive approach towards the country have summed up to rising disapproval and sinking approval today.

The worst blow came as coronavirus tightened its grip on the country – the United States failed to tame the virus despite boasting the best healthcare system in the world. Since then, there has only been downhill for Trump and all of his efforts to keep the boat from sinking have ended in smokes – the vaccine deal, fast track development of the vaccine, creation of employment, good foreign relations, and even tremendous efforts for peace deals between nations.
