Queen Elizabeth and Princess Beatrice, reportedly, share a special bond with each other.

According to New Idea, the queen was so delighted over her granddaughter’s royal wedding that she loaned her the Queen Mary Fringe Tiara. The queen wore the exact same tiara on her royal wedding to Prince Philip in 1947.

Following Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi’s nuptials, a source said that the queen allowing her granddaughter to wear her own tiara was proof of how close they really are.

The Queen Mary Fringe tiara has only been worn by Princess Anne during her wedding to Captain Mark Phillips in 1973.

“Allowing Beatrice to wear this piece is tangible proof of the high esteem she holds both Bea and her younger sister Eugenie in. They have been regularly visiting the Queen since they were small girls, and would often go to Windsor to take tea with her, which is among one of Her Majesty’s fondest memories. Mark my word, she wouldn’t give that tiara or one of her own dresses to just any family member. Princess Beatrice earned this,” the source said.

Last month, Express revealed another indication of how close the queen is to Prince Andrew’s daughters. When the queen was still young, was received a miniature thatched cottage that was installed on the grounds of the Royal Lodge in Windsor.

Since Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie grew up at the Royal Lodge, they were, reportedly, given full access to the cottage.

In the documentary The Diamond Queen, Princess Beatrice revealed how much she loved the cottage and called it the most glamorous house ever.

“Granny and her sister played here growing up and they were lucky enough to play here, and cousins and second cousins. It was a big family treat. It's the most glamorous wendy house ever and it's really beautiful. And what you're seeing now is it after a year's renovation. It's had a bit of a spruce up really,” she gushed.

The queen also made sure to attend Princess Beatrice’s wedding even though she was at risk of contracting the deadly coronavirus. Even her 99-year-old husband attended the low-key event at Windsor.

As of late, it is unclear if the monarch and Prince Philip were also present at the reception. But as a tribute to her grandmother, Princess Beatrice also wore the queen’s gown to her special day.
