It may, or not, a coincidence that the pop world these days bottles up music releases of Taylor Swift, her ex-boyfriend Calvin Harris, Selena Gomez, and his ex-boyfriend The Weeknd. The two female best friend's ex-boyfriends have dropped their latest collaboration track called 'Over Now.'

As per Hollywood Life, the song sings ironically about exes and flings.

"I need you to know that / We ain't ever gonna go back / This time, it got so bad / It's best for me, it's best for you / I need you to know that," part of the pre-chorus sings.

The song doesn't seem to reveal or hint at who among the collaborators doesn't want to "go back." It also didn't pin out the 'Blinding Lights' singer as to who he is referring to in particular. Well, the fans of the two artists took on Twitter to bombard questions and trend hashtags about the matter.

However, the substantial part of the release is the mesmerizing and trippy music video of the track that looks like the system graphic comes to life. But, on the music video, Abel, aka The Weeknd, suggests that he is now with somebody else and his ex-girlfriend.

In particular, The Weeknd sings of a part that says they are now both with somebody else, so would she please stop calling him. The cryptic words left the fans baffled, thinking as to who the singer is pinning out.

One fan confidently called out The Weeknd's attention by demanding a figure that answers the lyrics. For the time being, The Weeknd still have to comment about the matter or not.

On the other hand, Harris referenced his ex-girlfriend Swift to his music even though both parties went on jumping to another relationship after their breakup in 2016. The disc jockey reconciled with Aarika Wolf while Swift connected with Joe Alwyn, after a short-lived romance with actor Tom Hiddleston.

It seems like The Weeknd is still not over his ex when he gave out hints of his stormy relationship with Gomez in an exclusive interview with Esquire. The singer was asked by the interviewer to name five of the previous songs that best defines him. None of the records from his 'My Dear Melancholy' album made to the cut to the fans' surprise. The said EP was his album release after he and Gomez called their relationship quits.
