Jamie Lynn Spears who was selected as trustee of her sister Britney Spear's multimillion-dollar estate in 2018, is looking to have more control over the pop superstar’s fortune. This comes in the wake of a fiery conflict over a problematic conservatorship.

Jamie Lynn, 29, has been named the trustee of her sister Britney’s “SJB Revocable Trust,” which was originally made to keep the pop star and her children's finances safe, according to the documents acquired by The Blast. The former Nickelodeon star, reportedly, urged the court to give Fidelity Financial Management the authority to serve as the financial advisor and make blocked accounts to hold her Britney's assets.

It will be the duty of Jamie Lynn to make sure that the aforesaid assets and money is used for her sister's two children, Jayden Federline and Sean, if Britney, 38, dies. The document suggests if the settlor dies, the Trustee will distribute the entire principal of the BJS Kids & Family Trust to its trustee or co-trustees, be held, administered, and distributed per its terms.

Earlier reports suggest the SJB Revocable Trust was set up in 2004, four years before Britney's conservatorship started in 2008. Her trust will inhere with her personal items including furniture, artwork, jewelry, clothes, and her bank accounts.

It is unclear whether or not the trust also pertains to the value of the intellectual property including music rights owned by Britney. The pop star's father, Jamie Spears, and her co-conservator, Andrew Wallet signed on Jamie Lynn’s appeal to be named a trustee.

Earlier this year, Jamie Lynn clapped back at a fan that raised questions about Britney's mental health. Taking to her Instagram account, she blasted at the netizen and said they had no right to assume anything about Britney, and she didn't have the right to talk about her health and personal matters.

Referencing the remark about her obvious mental health, Jamie Lynn responded saying that the only thing obvious is that her sister is a strong, unstoppable woman. A judge announced last week that Britney’s conservatorship will remain for about another six months following the pop star's request to remove her father as her conservator.

Britney's manager Jodi Montgomery is her temporary conservator at the moment. The singer's mother Lynne Spears also requested to be involved in her daughter's finances. She filed new legal documents to be included in Britney's finances, according to legal documents obtained by The Blast.

The attorney of the "Baby One More Time" songstress has filed documents requesting that Montgomery be named as the permanent conservator of Britney's personal affairs. She insists on having a qualified corporate fiduciary to oversee her estate rather than her father.
