David Foster, who is currently married to Katharine McPhee, announced he was splitting from Yolanda Hadid back in 2015. Even five years after separating from Yolanda, the musician continues to keep details about incidences that led to his divorce from the popular television personality under wraps.

In the Netflix's latest documentary entitled, David Foster: Off the Record, which premiered on July 1, the 70-year-old Grammy winner divulged details about both his professional as well as personal life, including his split from his fourth wife, Yolanda.

While Yolanda was battling a Lyme disease at the time, Foster insists her health wasn't the cause of their split. Explaining that he would never leave a sick woman in the documentary, Foster says he did not leave her because she was sick, adding that there was a different reason why they decided to throw in the towel.

Foster admitted that although he never revealed the reason, Yolanda's health wasn't the reason why he left her. The Canadian composer, who recently celebrated his first wedding anniversary with actress Katharine McPhee, also mentioned his dislike for appearing on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, which started in 2012.

He said his wife at the time wanted to do the show, and he didn't want to say no to her. Foster and Hadid released a joint statement to PEOPLE, announcing their divorce in Dec. 2015. The former couple revealed that they had decided to go their separate ways, after tieing their wedding knot in Nov. 2011.

In another statement on their divorce in 2015, Foster told E! News that for the past few weeks, the rumor mill has been churning out all sorts of baseless speculations about his thoughts and feelings. The music producer said dealing with some rumors was painful, especially while he was trying to deal with the personal nature of the challenges associated with the end of his loving marriage to Yolanda.

In a statement, Foster said he and Yolanda shared nine joyous years and during that time, they experienced love and friendship. The pair also faced challenges associated with managing a marriage, careers, blended families, and even health issues. Hadid, 56, is currently dating Joseph Jingoli, who she says is very much in love with, in an interview in May with Bravo's The Daily Dish.

Speaking about his new documentary, Foster said it will give fans a never-before-seen glimpse of his life. He attributed his decision to unveil this vulnerable side of his life to director Barry Avrich, who kept pushing.
