Prince Charles’ wife, Camilla Parker Bowles will allegedly accept any title that she will be given even if it’s not a queen.

While speaking with OK! magazine, an unnamed source claimed that the Duchess of Cornwall will most likely be given the title of queen consort when Prince Charles ascends the throne.

It is unlikely for Camilla to be given the title of the queen because this is reserved for monarchs that also have royal blood. But the source said that even though Camilla will only be known as queen consort, she will get the benefits and responsibilities of a co-ruler.

The insider also said that the Camilla would graciously accept whatever title will be given to her and she won’t make any fuss about it.

“After enduring years of backlash for her affair with Charles, while he was married to the late, beloved Princess Diana, Camilla had to work overtime to earn the public’s good graces. She goes out of her way not to ruffle feathers and she’s done an awful lot to work for worthy causes while respecting the monarchy as a whole,” the source said.

According to the source, Camilla has also ingratiated herself with the royal family. And she assumed a nurturing role in Prince William and Prince Harry’s lives. Prince Charles’ wife has allegedly helped her stepsons find some common ground amid their rumored feud.

“Camilla has a real sense of maturity and levelheadedness. She’s the first to remind people how pointless it is to be negative. When she and Charles handed the reins, they plan to take The Firm in a whole new, positive direction,” the source said.

As of late, Camilla has not yet directly responded to reports regarding her future royal title. But there are claims that Prince Charles would insist on giving his loyal wife title of queen.

According to The Daily Beast, the information on Camilla’s future title has been removed from the official website of Prince Charles. Following their wedding in 2005, the information on the website revealed that Camilla would be known as a princess consort when Prince Charles ascends the throne.

As such, there were speculations that the information was removed so that when the time comes, Camilla will be entitled to the title of queen.

However, a spokesperson for Clarence House said that the removal of the information doesn’t mean that there are changes to Camilla’s future royal title.
