Malia Obama, former first daughter and Harvard graduate, has experienced a cold response from those around her as she pursues a writing career in Hollywood. The 24-year-old daughter of Barack and Michelle Obama has faced backlash from supposed friends who accuse her of using her family name to secure opportunities in the entertainment industry.

"Malia has to pick her friends carefully, and even the ones she thought to be her friends are turning out to be two-faced," an insider revealed. "They say one thing to her face and something nasty behind her back. There are sycophants and mean-spirited people everywhere, and she's having to walk on eggshells every time she goes out."

After graduating from Harvard in 2021, Malia landed a writing position with Donald Glover's production company, Gilga. She is now part of the writing team for Glover's new Amazon series, Swarm. Malia's previous experience includes interning for Lena Dunham's HBO series Girls in 2015 and working at the Weinstein Company in 2017, prior to Harvey Weinstein's arrest and convictions.

In addition to her writing work, Malia is also developing and directing a short film under Glover's production company. However, some individuals have expressed resentment over her rapid career progression, suggesting that her accomplishments have been handed to her due to her family connections.

"She's rising up the ranks and it's unheard of how fast she's progressed already. Obviously, being the former president's daughter helped," said the insider.

As Malia navigates the challenges of her new career, she is discovering that genuine friendships are hard to come by in the competitive world of Hollywood. Despite the negativity surrounding her, Malia continues to work hard and hone her skills as a writer and filmmaker.

Michelle Obama shares hilarious story about her daughters' martini making skills on 'The Tonight Show'

During her appearance on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" on Wednesday, Michelle Obama shared a hilarious anecdote about her daughters, Malia and Sasha. The former First Lady revealed that the two young adults invited her and her husband, Barack Obama, over for pre-dinner cocktails, but the drinks they made were not up to par.

"Not only did they drink it, they made one," she said. "Now, it was a bad martini. It was very weak in a tumbler. You know, they stumbled through. It was mostly vermouth and ice. Well, maybe it wasn't even vermouth because I don't even think they knew that vermouth goes in a martini," she playfully teased.
