Alec Baldwin is allegedly struggling financially after being forced to hire the best legal counsel to defend his case.

Globe, in its Feb. 13 issue, claimed that Baldwin is having a hard time making ends meet because he doesn’t have any projects lined up. So, more money is getting out instead of coming in for the actor.

“Baldwin’s hired the best legal counsel he can and that’s likely to have already set him back hundreds of thousands – and once the case is done, win or lose, his bill could run into the millions,” the source said.

The insider stressed that Baldwin isn’t broke just yet but if he keeps paying the best legal counsel, it’s only a matter of time before he loses all his savings.

“He’s not broke yet but there are fears his finances may not be up for the huge expenses to come. Every legal move he makes costs a ton and his accounts are likely taking an absolute hammering,” the source said.

But even if money could be an issue for Baldwin, he has no other choice but to find someone that can defend his case very well. After all, the last thing he wants is to go to jail.

“Alec’s putting a heap of money into his defense right now and it’s likely he’s going to be struggling. If he winds up with jail time, it will take longer for him to recover financially,” the source said.

However, one should take the tabloid’s claims with a grain of salt. It’s not true that Baldwin is worrying about his finances as early as now because he has to pay his legal counsel.

Baldwin has been working as an actor for decades so it’s possible that he has more than enough money in his bank account. Additionally, the actor cannot be without money because he has young children that he needs to support.

So, Baldwin doesn’t really have anything to worry about when it comes to his finances. But he should be more concerned when it comes to the verdict that he would get.

After all, he is facing jail time for the death of Rust director Halyna Hutchinson, who he accidentally shot on the set of his movie in Mexico.
