Kelly Clarkson is allegedly scared for her safety and the safety of her two children.

Life & Style, in its Feb. 6 issue claimed that Clarkson’s longtime stalker broke her restraining order and was spotted following the singer’s tracks on four different occasions.

Now, a source is saying that Clarkson wants to stay away from her stalker to the point that she is considering moving the production of her talk show to the Big Apple.

“Kelly is in talks to move production of The Kelly Clarkson Show to New York. She initiated the conversation because this woman keeps returning to her house. She feels unsafe with a stalker on the loose and is having sleepless nights over her children’s safety. She has temporarily fled the property and is staying in a secret location,” the source said.

The source said that authorities are doing their best to make sure that Clarkson and her children are safe.

“The LAPD is working hard to protect Kelly; they’re doing regular checks on the house. Plus, Kelly has hired additional security who are always patrolling the grounds. Crime is an all-time high: celebrity mansions in Hollywood are getting broken into on a frequent basis, and residents are being mugged on the street. Kelly finds the traffic terrible as well, and the people kind of flaky. She feels that New York could be a better and more practical place to raise their children,” the source said.

This is not the first time that Clarkson is rumored to be thinking about leaving Los Angeles. And the whispers that the filming for The Kelly Clarkson Show will be moved to New York have also been rife in the last couple of weeks.

However, it is important to note that nothing has been finalized yet. If production for the talk show will indeed be moved to a different state, an official announcement would’ve already been made by now.

And even though it’s true that Clarkson’s stalker broke her restraining order, there’s no indication that the singer is as worried as the tabloid claimed her to be.

After all, Clarkson has all the protection that she could ever need. And there’s no reason for her to worry about her safety or the safety of their children because authorities are on her case.
