There has been no dearth of speculations about Tom Cruise’s association with the Church of Scientology and how it has affected his relationship with daughter, Suri.

Various publications have come up with inaccurate stories about Cruise separating himself from the controversial religion or making attempts to recruit Suri to it. A magazine asserted a couple of years ago that the Mission Impossible star was all set to quit Scientology for his daughter.

According to the outlet, the actor did not mind cutting off ties with his religion so that his relationship with Suri can be repaired. A supposed insider mentioned that if the actor wants to be close to his daughter, he has to sever ties with the church, which means a lot to him.

The same source also pointed out that leaving his religion could be possibly the most difficult decision in his life. However, there were certain gaps in this story. To start with, Cruise has reportedly not spoken to Suri for some years now. So, it seems unlikely that he would stop believing in his religion to reach out to Suri.

Additionally, more than two years have passed since the report was published. Yet, the Hollywood A-lister has not known to have got in touch with Suri. He has not even cut off ties with the religion as was reported earlier.

There was another story a year later that stated Cruise was trying his best to make sure that his daughter joins the Church of Scientology. The report claimed that Tom Cruise was leaving no stones unturned to engage Suri into the religion.

However, it was reported that his former wife Katie Holmes is against their daughter to join the church. An anonymous source insisted that the actor was in touch with his daughter and was determined to recruit her to the church. The tipster also said that the Church of Scientology regarded the young girl as a “true princess” and felt she should belong to them.

Meanwhile, Gossip Cop slammed the story and said it was fabricated. The website seems to have got in touch with Holmes’ representative who also said the story was made-up.

The Hollywood hunk was last seen in the company of his daughter in 2013. If reports are to be believed, even that picture could be a photo-op. Some reports claim that the Top Gun star has been barred to meet his daughter who is all of 14 years now./

The actor sued a publication after they reported he had abandoned Suri. However, Tom Cruise did admit that the Church of Scientology was one of the key reasons why his former wife Katie Holmes had opted for a divorce, Hindustan Times reports.
